We understand the plans for the dog parks still have time before they get finalized.
Our Suggestion: << AstroTurf >>
Benefits:
- TBI &/or HOA (depending on who gets the bills)
- No need to mow the park grass, ever.!!
- No replacement sod/turf
- No gardener costs
- Pet Owners
- No muddy paws and pups to clean up
- No muddy shoes
- Quick drying after the rain
- Our dogs love the stuff
- Most Importantly:
No Round-Up or fertilizer on the dogs and pet owners
Wow seems like a no brainer, my only thought is how well will it clean up and last when our Dogs mark and duty on the Turf ??
Actually hold up much better than grass and mud. Very clean and while a large I itial investment , it lasts much longer and is more sanitary.
We still need to pick up the solid waste. AstroTurf drains just like regular turf, check any of the websites for details. Rain does great and perhaps if we want to, we can rinse it in the dry season..
The no muddy paws and shoes makes it a huge win for me.
Poop bags and garbage can for disposal of same would be great. One note on AstroTurf: it can get very hot. I presume there will be Water and a fountain:/dog fountain. If so, add a hose to spray down the AstroTurf.
Stephen, where can we get the details on the dog park size and amenities?
Thanks,
Jim Hermiston
Sales office has the details. I recall the plan is to build one in Phase II, there is an option to have a small and a big dog park, but not confirmed yet.
